Easiest, easy-to-clean DIY Bong! For $10 using Ball jars and glass stems

One of my biggest fears while using water pipes or bongs is the damn clean up, because I'm terrified of getting my lungs filled with mold! I also find it god awful disgusting to see a nasty, dirty ass bong, especially from a trusted friend. I just figure it's part of the culture, right? NO NO NO! I'm hoping for this post I'll be able to show you how easy it is to assemble a descent, easy-to-clean, compact bong that you can probably build right after you're done looking at this post with regular household items.

Alright here's the supply list:

1 - short Ball jar (or any jar, preferred glass with a metal lid)

Alternative: a smoothie cup you're not using that already has a hole in it.

1 - bong stem (or downstem - here's a reference: https://www.amazon.com/downstem/s?k=downstem)

Find one online or your local smoke shop.

1 - wax candle (you're going to need the wax for a seal).

Alternative: beeswax or old chap stick you're not using.

Tools:

Drill or cutter (that can cut through the jar lid)

Matches or lighter (to light the wax candle)

Steps:

1. Drill or cut out two holes in the jar lid. One hole is for your straw and the second hole is for your bowl stem.

2. Clean the holes and set in your straw and bowl stem to check if they fit.

3. Fill the jar with water and screw on the jar lid so that the bowl stem is submerged but the straw is above the water line.

4. Light a candle or smash a chap stick over the holes of the straw and stem to seal off any air.

5. Pack a bowl and see if it works.

For cleanup: unscrew the jar lid and use a rough rag, regular dish soap, and water to clean out the jar.
