Sativa or Indica? (Orig. post March 15, 2021)
As per my previous post "We've reached the scrog" I asked the audience a question: is this a Sativa or Indica strain? Since I'm sure nobody really reads or follows this blog, I'm just going to give out the answer...
Drum roll...
They...
Are...
Both...
Strain!
The strain itself is called Super Silver Haze, which is a sativa dominant hybrid strain that comes from Haze, Northern Lights and Skunk strains. I got this information from Leafy.
So what you see when you see DIFFERENT leaves? Well, genetic mutation! When I see this happen, it reminds me of what Sir Ken Robinson (RIP) said while talking about children: "If you've got two children, or more, I bet you they are completely different from each other!"
Like children, if you have two of the same plants, each of them will endure a wide range of challenges through its lifecycle. Although they may have came from the same seed pile, don't be surprised if they're sprouting and growing different. They're ALIVE! Remember, they are a living lifeform and all lifeforms are different (slightly) but nonetheless different. And this slight change in difference provides endless possible characteristics.
Am I worried that one plant is taking it's sweet time while another bolts to the ceiling? Absolutely not! Instead, I stand back and appreciate the character differences. I can compare to one another but in the end, I love all my plants, regardless of their lifecycle circumstances.
I hope this post helps you appreciate your garden.
