Peyote Gorilla (strain name) harvest update

It has been a while since we have posted. Lot of things have happened over the past few months. We're currently marketing around Southern California and we are growing well this intense heat from the summer hits our crops. Luckily the first batch from the peyote gorilla strain has been a great success. We were able to obtain a few ounces from one plant.

The technique we use for trimming was fairly easy this harvest time. My goal was to minimize the amount of labor and mess we had to deal with in previous harvests. In previous harvest, we have had a lot of dry leaf to pick up and it caused a lot of dust and debris throughout the growing area. This time, like picking berries from a bush, we ended up pulling the flower directly off the stem, all while trimming off the wet leaves and disposing of them. All the flowers went into a tray that was lined with paper towels to soak up any wet pieces of the plant. The flowers were very sticky and required gloves. The entire harvest took about 2 days but I was able to have a minimal mess to pick up when everything was done.

I'm very proud of the harvest that came from one seed out of five. In the next week or so, the clone of this strain will be in the flowering tent, currently it is inside the vegetation tent. I've been conducting a small experiment using mylar and a piece of cardboard to offset the temperature of the water reservoir since it has been very warm these past few days in Southern Arizona.

To be continued.
